Hi everybody! Happy Mother’s Day to all my favorite moms out there…especially Jennifer. Yay Jenny! We are currently on the road (gotta love technology) headed towards Virginia. The Hermitage Hotel in Nashville was fantastic and fancy. Bubblebath and all! Dobe thinks we should get a king size bed. Spoiled dog. This morning, after 1000 miles of me saying, “MMM…Cracker Barrel” at every billboard we passed, we stopped at one outside of Nashville for breakfast. Grits in the South are just somehow better than anywhere else….We kind of forgot it was Mother’s Day when we decided to have that for breakfast but the 45 minute wait was worth it 😉
We should be pulling into B-More (or Charm City as the locals call it) sometime tomorrow. Here is our new address.

Both of our emails will stay the same and I will be getting a new cell number in the next couple days. That’s all for now! Love to you all! M & G
We haven’t had a chance to post pics for a couple days, but this update should catch you up. (Make sure you keep scrolling for all the pics.) We’re having a great time and should make Baltimore in the next couple days.
Bye! – G&M

We didn’t do much on day four.
Day Four was a day of rest. We slept in after a late wedding night (!) and had a late lunch and then a nap so we’d be ready to get up early and head out for the rest of our trip (“Phase II”). We tried to head over the Hoover Dam, but were turned away because the police wanted to unpack our U-Haul (not happening) before we could go across. We turned around and took the alternate route through Laughlin, NV. We made it to the Grand Canyon by about 5, found our campsite, and headed down to the rim. We hiked about 3.5 miles and got some great photos! In the morning, we drove around the rim, stopping at viewpoints along the way and then were out of the park driving through Indian Reservations and Red Rock Country along the way. We arrived in Phoenix at about 5. After a nice overnight visit with my Grandma, we’re headed out and had just a moment to post this! We’re off to El Paso and all points east. Keep an eye out for updates! -G&M |
