So here we go…

We’re packed and ready to go. We’ll hit the airport tomorrow morning and be in London in 16 or so hours.

Earlier, our friends sent us off at the good ol’ Highlands, but my camera batteries died before I got the chance to take a pick for you all. Oh well, here are some other pics.

Castles and Chips

Today we had a nice tour in Wales with Nina. We saw a very old castle and ate chips (freedom fries) in Conwy, Roman ruins and Cathedrals in Chester, and had a lovely Tea (dinner) on a street in Liverpool where the Beatles were known to frequent.

We’re going back to Liverpool tomorrow, for our last day in England.

Leavin Liverpool

This, our last full day in England, we spent touring Liverpool. Nina (the super great and fancy tour guide), showed us from the Anglican Cathedral to Albert Docks to old Beatles haunts and back again. Then she brought us over for Egg and Chips (traditional English food) with her really great friends, where we watched footy and talked and laughed. It was nice.

Alas, our England time comes to and end and tomorrow we head to Amsterdam and then on to Brugge, Belguim. Not sure about the ‘net access, so updates and pics might be light until we get to Paris.

I’ve put up just a couple of photos from the last couple days, so you all don’t feel too negelected. It’s late however, so it’s only one per day, for the last three days:

We arrive in Warrington, near Liverpool. Maya is tired.

The Smallest House in Britian and a nice lady in a Welsh hat.

Maya kisses John Lennon. I’m not usually okay with her kissing other men, but since it’s John…

OK, that’s all, everybody. It’s late–12:45 am–and we’ve got more traveling to do!

Love,
-Gabe and Maya.

Oh Amsterdam…..

Hello all! We got off to Amsterdam yesterday from Liverpool thanks to Nina and her wonderful friend Karen. EasyJet is awesome by the way…no frills, on and off, just like the bus! We arrived in Amsterdam last night and had a good Italian dinner and some coffee…..This morning we got an early start as our hotel (which is horrible) has a breakfast that ends at 10am. We ate our bread and cheese, got on a canal tour boat and headed to the Reiksmuseum for our first bit of sanctioned culture. We made it as far as the information desk before the food poisoning that formed the rest of our day showed with full force via poor Gabriel. Who else can say they puked in the Reiks?! Ah well…travel is exciting. Taking it easy today…off to Brugge tomorrow. Love you all. Will post pics in Paris.

Puke, Brugge, Puke

Well, I got over my stomach flu, after pretty much a full day in bed yesterday… not quite the Amsterdam experience I was hoping for, but so it goes. We walked around town a little bit before catching the train this morning, but really didn’t get to see very much of the city.

The train ride to Belgium was beautiful and Brugges is even more so… old and pretty and old.

Unfortunately, Maya started to feel ill on the train and now she’s repeating my performance from yesterday… stuck in bed in another beautiful town in Europe.

I hope it will only be a 23 hour thing for her as well. That’s all from your globe-trotter friends, more later. -G&M
