More of London
April 6th, 2003Yesterday we went back to Westminster and Kensington; today we… stayed in the neighborhood, or “Exploring Hampstead”.
Friday, 4 April
Today we did some more touristy touring. We rode a double decker tour bus around for a while, went to a museum, rode the tour bus, got lost, came back to the house.
There are a silly amount of pigeons in Trafalgar Sqare. So many they have to hire a falconer to keep them away. Cool bird.
Many people call this the London Bridge. There have been like 9 London Bridges (one is even at Lake Havasu, I think) and this is not one of them. This is the Tower Bridge.

Here’s your pub pic, Hank. A Goat Pub, just for you.
The Millennium Bridge, also known as the Wibbly-Wobbly Bridge.

Today we woke up late (thanks, Chriff, for keeping us out so late again…) and just walked around the neighborhood. First, we had breakfast at the Whitehorse Pub and watched the Manchester United v. Liverpool match (Man U won with an almost unprecedented 4-nil). Next we walked through a small part of a park called the Hampstead Heath. We came back to the house and met Chriff, and then went for a proper walk through the Heath, which is HUGE. There’s an old historical manor called Kenwood House at the top of the park, but we were too late for the tour. Then, we came home and had Indian Take-out. Yum. Now we’re heading out to the Pub (surprise surprise), but should be coming home early to get ready to take the bus to Warrington tomorrow to see Nina. Updates to the web site won’t be as regular now, since internet access is bound to be more spotty. We’ll keep you up-to-date though.
Love,
Gabe & Maya.
